Hi. What I try to achieve is that a dial/b only puts out the values -64, -48, -32, -16, 0, 16, 32, 48, 64.Could anybody be so kind to help out, I was always bad at maths...Or is there a better way to do it without maths???
you could try Jaffa's object jaffa/ctrl2/i16m as above which gives you a choice of 16 values based upon the first 16 values of a dial.....you can choose any 16 values you wish, better with a button and a counter object but can be done with a dial
or are you trying to spread the values across the whole range of the pot? If so use rbrt/control/dial range in place of the dial in the above example.
equally you could do it with Axo's preset system.
This can be done with some bit shifting and some multiplications.
But yeah as reubenfinger says it also depends on how you want it to work, if you want the values spread out over the whole -64 to 64 range or you can do with just using a smaller range, like -4 to 4.
That was quick. Thanks a lot.Ideally I want to spread it across the whole range of the pot.
Wow. This community is awesome! I am just getting started with my Axoloti and just encountered this same question. Not only has the community developed and shared useful objects, but you folks are quick to help. I'm so excited to be working with this device. So far I love this thing. I want to buy more of them.
